Please read all of the instructions before going to the State Disciplinary Board (SDB) eFiling system.

 Filing Requirements

  • You must have a Georgia Bar number and will need your State Bar member log in information.
  • Attorneys who are admitted pro hac vice for a particular case must contact the SDB Clerk’s office (404-527-8721) for instructions on use.
     

Filing Format 

How to View Your Case

  • To view your case, log in to the SDB eFiling portal using your State Bar member log in information. All disciplinary matters in which you are a party, or counsel to a party, will be visible. Click on the gray arrow to the left of the SDB docket number to view all documents filed in the matter.
     

Submit a Filing

  • To submit a filing, log in to the SDB eFiling portal using your State Bar member log in information. All disciplinary matters in which you are a party, or counsel to a party, will be visible. Click on the gray arrow to the left of the SDB docket number to choose the case.
  • Click the “Upload New Document” button.
  • Choose the type of document you are filing from the description drop-down menu.
  • Next, upload your document by using either the browsing option or the drag-and-drop option; then click submit. 
  • Do not submit multiple pleadings as a single docket entry.
  • If eFiling a document with attachments, scan the filing and attachments as one document. In the event the pdf with combined exhibits is too large to upload, you may upload the main document and then eFile the exhibits as a separate filing.
  • If you realize after you eFile a document that you wish to amend it in some way, notify the Clerk’s Office immediately at (404) 527-8721. Do not eFile a replacement document unless the Clerk directs you to do so.
  • eFilings received by 11:59 p.m. will be considered filed that day.
  • Technical failures caused by your hardware, software or Internet connection will not generally excuse an untimely filing.
     

Rules of Service

  • The email notification feature generated by the eFiling system does not constitute service and does not replace the obligation to serve the opposing party in accordance with Bar Rule 4-221(b). 
     

Electronic Signatures

  • Signatures must be scanned or in conformed format (s:\name).
     

Size and Format Requirements 

  • All documents must be in pdf searchable format and no larger than 40 MB.
